Version 5.3.1 - 2nd April 2025

The following information is intended for existing users who are already familiar with AstroGrav and want to quickly find out about the main changes.

Version 5.3.1 of AstroGrav is an upgrade containing several minor improvements and bug fixes. If you already have a copy of AstroGrav, all you need to do is to download Version 5.3.1 and use it in place of your old version. If you have any problems with this new version, please don't hesitate to contact us so that we can help you out.

Version 5.3.1 of AstroGrav has several minor improvements and bug fixes, including the following.

  • A bug has been fixed that stopped the JPL asteroid and comet downloads from working in the Edit / Import Objects... command.
  • A bug has been fixed that caused the horizon on a view window to bobble around during evolution with 'awkward' time steps, such as 0.5 sidereal days or 2 years.
  • A bug has been fixed that prevented the copying and pasting of solar system objects from one simulation to another.
  • The Solar System sample simulations have all had their mass threshold (specified with the Evolve / Settings... command) reduced from 1.0e21 kg to 1.0e20 kg.
  • The Home Location sample simulation has had its date changed from 01/01/2024 to 01/01/2025.
