Mars and its Moons

This simulation shows Mars and its moons Phobos and Deimos as seen from the Earth. You can set it running either forward or backward, and see how the brightness, size, orientation, and phase of Mars changes with the passage of time. The Sun can be seen occulting Mars between 17th November 2023 and 19th November 2023.

Since different computers run at different speeds, you may need to edit the evolution time step to get the simulation to run at an acceptable rate.
