Sun Supernova

This simulation shows the effects of extreme radiation pressure on the motion of the planets. The Sun has had its luminosity vastly increased, resulting in all of the planets except Jupiter being expelled from the solar system. The Moon also becomes detached from the Earth.

If you use the Evolve / Settings... command to switch off the radiation pressure, you will see the solar system instantly return to its familiar state, except for the luminosity of the Sun.

Since different computers run at different speeds, you may need to edit the evolution time step to get the simulation to run at an acceptable rate.
