Jupiter Trojans

This simulation shows the brighter Jupiter Trojans - all those with an absolute magnitude less than 13.

If you run the simulation forward, you can watch how the Jupiter Trojans move, with each one having the same orbital period as Jupiter. Selecting one or two individual asteroids will make it easier to distinguish them from the mass.

Since different computers run at different speeds, you may need to edit the evolution time step to get the simulation to run at an acceptable rate.
