Kepler-90

This simulation shows the Kepler-90 planetary system, as detailed in the Wikipedia article at:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kepler-90

The entire planetary system would fit within the Earth's orbit around the Sun, and all eight planets have almost circular orbits. Despite being so compact, the system is stable.

You can run the simulation to see how the planets move in the short term. Since different computers run at different speeds, you may need to edit the evolution time step to get the simulation to run at an acceptable rate. By changing the evolution time step from 6 hours to something like 10 years, you can see how the orbits change in the long term. If you want to greatly speed up the simulation, you can remove the innermost three planets and further increase the evolution time step.
