View / Full Screen Mode ()
Operating Systems: All
Window Types: View windows only
Simulation Types: All
Summary
Switches the active view window into interactive full screen (screensaver) mode.
Description
When you select this command, the active view window will be switched to interactive full screen (screensaver) mode, so that it occupies the entire screen with the menu bar and status bar omitted. If you start the simulation evolving, you will effectively have an animated screensaver. Full screen mode is interactive, with all the operations listed in the Navigation Guide being available. You can also use the four arrow keys both with and without keyboard modifiers as an alternative to using the mouse.
Keyboard commands are available for the following items in the View / Magnification menu.
- Much Smaller () greatly decreases the magnification, and can be invoked with Control+Alt+K (Command+Alt+K on a Mac).
- Smaller () slightly decreases the magnification, and can be invoked with Control+Shift+K (Command+Shift+K on a Mac).
- Larger () slightly increases the magnification, and can be invoked with Control+Shift+L (Command+Shift+L on a Mac).
- Much Larger () greatly increases the magnification, and can be invoked with Control+Alt+L (Command+Alt+L on a Mac).
Keyboard commands are available for the following items in the View / Brightness menu.
- Much Dimmer () greatly decreases the brightness, and can be invoked with Control+Alt+J (Command+Alt+J on a Mac).
- Dimmer () slightly decreases the brightness, and can be invoked with Control+Shift+J (Command+Shift+J on a Mac).
- Brighter () slightly increases the brightness, and can be invoked with Control+Shift+B (Command+Shift+B on a Mac).
- Much Brighter () greatly increases the brightness, and can be invoked with Control+Alt+B (Command+Alt+B on a Mac).
Keyboard commands are available for the following items in the View / Object Style menu.
- Standard () shows objects using the standard object style, and can be invoked with Control+Alt+D (Command+Alt+D on a Mac).
- Intermediate () shows objects using the intermediate object style, and can be invoked with Control+Alt+I (Command+Alt+I on a Mac).
- Photographic () shows objects using the photographic object style, and can be invoked with Control+Alt+G (Command+Alt+G on a Mac).
- Circular () shows objects using the circular object style, and can be invoked with Control+Alt+C (Command+Alt+C on a Mac).
Keyboard commands are available for the following items in the Evolve menu.
- Run Backward () evolves the simulation backward one time step after another until it is stopped, and can be invoked with Control+Alt+Shift+R (Command+Alt+Shift+R on a Mac).
- Step Backward () evolves the simulation backward one time step, and can be invoked with Control+Alt+R (Command+Alt+R on a Mac).
- Stop () stops the evolution of the simulation, and can be invoked with Control+Period (Command+Period on a Mac).
- Step Forward () evolves the simulation forward one time step, and can be invoked with Control+R (Command+R on a Mac).
- Run Forward () evolves the simulation forward one time step after another until it is stopped, and can be invoked with Control+Shift+R (Command+Shift+R on a Mac).
If you type the Esc key, full screen mode will be exited and normal viewing mode will be restored.
